Our Leadership
CHRIST AS LORD. US AS SERVANTS.
Our Staff
Pastor – Rev. Andrew Chesebro
Pastor Andrew grew up in Grand Rapids and came to Christ during high school. He studied at Michigan State University, where he discerned a call to ministry and met his wife, Vanessa. The Chesebros then spent seven years working in campus ministry at MSU, and Andrew completed his M.Div. through Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando in 2020. After serving as a Pastoral Fellow at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Andrew accepted the call to Pathway in 2023. He is a lover of good seafood, MSU sports, and playing board games. The Chesebros have five children, ages 4 through 10.
Church Planting Fellow – Evan Cruse
Evan was born and raised in Livonia, Michigan, before attending Michigan State University. Evan graduated with a degree from James Madison College and married his wife Emily in 2017. The Cruse’s have two daughters, Sutton and Asher. Before the pastoral fellowship, he worked in the Michigan House of Representatives for six years as a legislative aide. He will graduate from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the winter of 2023 and could not be more excited for the opportunity to serve in a faithful and reformed church.

Selecting Leadership at Pathway
Individuals seeking to serve the church in an official capacity should be godly men of Christlike character. Pastors, elders, and deacons must be qualified according to the descriptions given in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. To safeguard the peace and purity of the church, candidates for leadership are examined and installed according to the guidance given in the PCA’s Book of Church Order.
